Litigation Paralegal – New Jersey Office The salary range for this position is $76,500 – $179,000, commensurate with experience.
Seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join a Bergan County Legal firm. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of litigation paralegal experience in a law firm and will support attorneys across all phases of litigation.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist attorneys with all aspects of litigation matters from inception through trial
Organize, maintain, and manage court filings and litigation materials
Draft, file, and serve pleadings, motions, and other court documents (CM/ECF and New Jersey e-filing required)
Prepare correspondence, memoranda, discovery responses, and other litigation-related documents with minimal supervision
Manage case dockets, deadlines, and matter calendars
Prepare deposition summaries and assist with deposition, hearing, motion, and trial preparation
Coordinate scheduling of depositions, hearings, and court appearances
Discovery & E-Discovery:
Assist with paper and electronic discovery processes
Identify potentially relevant electronically stored information (ESI)
Draft and issue legal hold notices
Coordinate with clients to identify, preserve, and collect ESI and hard-copy documents
Assist with processing, reviewing, and coding ESI using Relativity and Concordance
Qualifications:
3+ years of litigation paralegal experience in a law firm environment
College degree and/or paralegal certificate required
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple deadlines
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Team-oriented with the ability to work independently when needed
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Experience with Relativity and Concordance required
Knowledge of iManage is a plus
